The trouble with feeling down or in a "blue mood" is it saps one's energy and motivation. I've found that even if I do, say, 3 dips, or 3 slow and easy deep knee bends, that little bit can be enough to wake me up and get me going again. Congrats, Henry! I had retired a few years ago but kept working 3 days part time. My very last day was 10/16/17! Yes, it sure does feel great. I can exercise whenever I want. Best of strength, health, and fitness to you.

You're an inspiration, Henry! Assuming you're retired now, you'll also have time to ride a bike. I use bike riding to supplement jogging and CA exercises. Good luck!

I live in a city and find walking early in the a.m. (6:00) leaves me plenty of peace and quiet. But I keep my walks to about 15 min while I do Atlas exercises. Works great. Increases heart rate. A lot of this Atlas program is about mental approach -- keeping positive, reviewing those areas one feels a need to put in some extra work on. Henry, that's great! I once had a doctor a few years ago I saw on the 5th floor and I could take that 2 steps at a time without getting out of breath. I haven't taken on a 15 flight run. I agree for most people, most of the time, following the course as written is best. But as a senior I no longer can do the course everyday. I try to do some of it most days and still feel good when doing so. But I go more by feel and energy level than prescribed routine. How about others?
