I agree for most people, most of the time, following the course as written is best. But as a senior I no longer can do the course everyday. I try to do some of it most days and still feel good when doing so. But I go more by feel and energy level than prescribed routine. How about others?

Hello Jim,
I think that you do as Atlas said "Train don't Strain".
All of us feel stronger some days and weaker some other, so I think it's wise to listen to your body.

I personally try to do the course every day, but varying the intensity of it, both at repetitions (in dips, squats etc) and resistance (at biceps curls, shoulder exercises etc). So even if I feel weaker, I do the exercises maybe with half the repetitions and resistance, and I not only have the accomplishment feedback but I feel more energetic after my workout.
