Thoughts on Resistance

Post by Henry Marczak »

I use to think that resistance was the important key to Dynamic Tension and the stronger you resist the more like lifting a weight. But these days I seem to find that the resistance only needs to be supportive and that the real deal is flexing the muscle as you go through the range of motion. I focus more on the muscles of the arm and they pop out and I can control the tension.

You're right on that one Henry!!! That is why CA keeps on telling to focus your mind on what you are doing, ie to put concious effort in every movement. The firts step is to accomplish that. On top of that is that resistance comes into play. This is a mere guess of mine, but I think that the people who say they gave tried DT and claim it did not work never really mastered the firts part and did their exercises in an unheartly manner. The trick is to learn to train with the mind first!!!
