Noridic walking as supplement to Atlas walking?

Post by Vitaman »

To get my self more involved in walking to try and meet requirements (besides using my mini elliptical.) I was considering Nordic walking to complement how Mr Atlas talked about walking and its benefits. Anyone doing this or something else to get walking? Looking forward to hearing from you. ( Nordic walking uses those poles that look like ski poles except you walk not ski)

I was hoping to get my wife involved...she has bad Rheumatoid arthritis , Nordic walking should be good I can get my atlas miles in. Would like to get her to try some Atlas stuff as well since its no impact on joints.

Do you think an elliptical machine is suitable for Atlas requirement for walking?

I just walk. I'm not familiar with Nordic walking, but as long as it's walking, and brisk walking at that. Atlas rode an exercise bike in his retirement years. So I guess he'd approve of Nordic walking.

nordic walking is like walking with ski poles and the action of using the the poles give you more of a full body cardio workout and it makes it interesting. If i don't have a mission of sorts for a walk, like a walk to the store or something, I tend not to walk for long periods.

well were lucky the things we have now to help compliment or supplement our Atlas program. Back in Mr. Atlas day things were different, i have a feeling he'd be fond of some of the new things around.
