Music bath

Post by geosta »

Charles Atlas, in chapter 1 recommends a daily "music bath" as he calls it.
He also draws our attention to "listen to good music".
Do we know what kind of music Charles Atlas used to listen and recommend?

On pg. 89 of "Yours In Perfect Manhood Charles Atlas" we're told he listened in the evening to Strauss, Verdi, Rossini, or Schubert.

Classical music is great and today there is so much more to listen to, sound tracks from movies, even video games. Atlas would likely listen from a 78rpm record and maybe radio, today with the internet there's is a whole World of music at your finger tips.

I find good music very uplifting and refreshing to my soul. I have been inspired by Charles Atlas to enjoy a daily "Music Bath". In the morning, I wake up to Schubert's Ave Maria with Andrea Bocelli's rendition being my favorite. For general musical bathing, I take pleasure with soaking in works of Mozart. While performing my Atlas Dynamic Tension exercises, I love a shower of Ragtime by Scott Joplin, Maple Leaf Rag being particularly cherished. This daily practice of bathing in music is one of so many ways the inspiration from Charles Atlas has truly enriched my life while refreshing my soul.

Neuroplasticity

Post by Henry Marczak »

I was watching a TV program about Neuroplasticity.
Neuroplasticity is the ability the brain has to change, depending on repeated stimulation or exposure to specific experiences or actions. When you change the wiring in the brain, you create improved associations between activities and increase the processing efficiency of thoughts and actions.
The TV program went into detail about the positive effects of Classical Music, anyone interested can search online for more detail info, Neuroplasticity and Classical Music.
